Welcome to Deerfield Golf Club

We are dedicated to offering you the best possible service and playing conditions. Your patronage is always appreciated and we hope you enjoy the test of golf that Deerfield offers.

Thank you for respecting our Policies below.

General Liability

Deerfield GC assumes no liability for any bodily injury incurred, or for damage to or theft of your golf equipment or motor vehicle while you are at the golf course.

Caddies, Spectators and General Conditions

Caddies and / or spectators are not permitted.

Course Markers & General Info

Course Markers

  • Fairway Yardage to the Middle of the Green - Red: 100 yards / White: 150 yards / Blue: 200 yards.

  • Flag Placement - Red: Front / White: Middle / Yellow: Back.

Music

Music is permitted on the course at a reasonable volume that does not disturb other golfers. Specifically, music coming from a power cart or bag/pull cart should only be heard by the listening group when they are in close proximity. If the music exceeds this volume our staff will ask that it be turned down or off.

Rain Checks

Rain Check issuance due to inclement weather is always at the discretion of the Pro Shop, per the following formula:

  • If you tee off on #1 and decide to stop playing before teeing off on #7, then you will receive a rain check equal to the value of the green fee that you paid, including power or pull cart rental (if applicable).

  • If you tee off on #7 and decide to stop playing before teeing off on #13, you will receive a rain check equal to half the value of the green fee that you paid, including the power or pull cart rental (if applicable).

  • If you tee off on #13, no rain check will be provided.

Reservations and transaction payments made through Golf Now will not be issued a rain check at the course. Players must contact Golf Now directly for a refund or credit arrangement.

Please note that rain checks are not for "9 holes" or "18 holes" Because of the different rates charged on different days and at different times of day, rain checks are strictly based on the amount of the green fee paid.

Reservations & Check-in

We are a popular golf course you should always book a tee time reservation in advance. It is not a good idea to simply "show up" for a tee time - it will probably end up causing frustration and wasting your time.

Carts, Rental Clubs & Bookings

Maximum group size in four players. Deerfield reserves the right to join smaller groups of golfers together, but no more than four players (total) may play in any group.

During the main season, bookings can be made up to 14 Days in advance for Members, and up to 10 Days in advance for Daily Fee Players. During the shoulder seasons, booking windows may be adjusted. For Public players, singles may be booked up to two days in advance. Singles will only be booked with other groups.

Please Check-in at the Pro Shop 15-20 minutes prior to your scheduled tee time to maintain pace of play. Then, please be available near the first tee about 10 minutes prior to your scheduled tee time. Let the Starter know that you are ready.

Do not arrive too early for your tee time, expecting an early tee off. The driving range and practice areas are available prior to your tee time.

Power and Pull Carts

Pull carts and power carts are available for rental. Please keep your power cart a minimum of 30 feet from all greens and tees except when on designated cart paths, unless you have a Blue Handicapped flag. With a flag, you may bring the power cart to the front of the green. Do not drive around the green under any circumstances.

Players renting and driving a power cart must be a minimum of 18 years old and hold a valid full G licence (G1 or G2 licenses are not acceptable). Any cost of damage the cart or the course, resulting from operation of a power cart, is the responsibility of the renter. Reckless driving of any sort is not tolerated and may result in the driver's ejection from the course, without refund.

Power carts are available for 18 holes until approximately 4 hours before dusk. If you are playing in the later afternoon and require a power cart, please speak to the Pro Shop to enquire as to availability when booking.

Rental Clubs

Rental clubs are not available. Each golfer should have his/her own set of golf clubs; in exceptional cases, Deerfield GC will allow club sharing between two players, as long as pace of play is not affected negatively.

We use standard industry practices to safeguard your personal information. You can review, update, or remove your personal information from our records at any time when you contact us in person or by contacting the administration office.

Personal information, such as emails, may be used for the following purposes:

  • Email confirmations, reminders and/or notifications.

  • Messages or special promotions from the course.

  • Customer feedback/market research to gather feedback on golfer satisfaction.

  • Other appropriate purposes that may arise from time to time.

Deerfield GC obtains personal information from golfers making reservations through the pro shop or through the Deerfield GC online booking site.

(NOTE: Golfers making reservations through GolfNow should consult the GolfNow privacy policy.)

Cancelations

We accept cancelations without charge, but request you advise us of any changes to your booking as early as possible; ideally at least 24 hours in advance. Same day notification is more likely when cancelling due to inclement weather.

(Note: if booking through GolfNow, please refer to the GolfNow website for their cancelation policy.)

Driving Range

Driving range is "mats only". Please do not hit off the grass at any time.

The driving range is 250 yards long to the back fence. We ask that longer hitters refrain from hitting driver because of the danger to golfers on the second and third holes.

The driving range dispenser uses a code system. Purchase your range balls in the Pro Shop and your receipt will provide you with a code for the ball dispenser. This code is time limited - do not buy balls that you intend to use at a future date. Refunds or credits will not be provided. For Members, range balls are for personal use.

Course Conditions

Please repair all divots and ball marks, rake all bunkers, and observe all signs and ropes.

We take great pride in our golf course, so please leave it in the same condition you wish to find it.

Snack Bar, Pace of Play & Privacy Overview

You are welcome to visit our Snack Bar after the round for a meal or a drink after your round.

Pace of Play

Deerfield GC targets a 4 hour round for the collective enjoyment of our customers.

Our Players Assistants/ marshals may offer pace of play tips to slower groups to help keep the course on schedule - please follow their advice or instructions. All golfers can benefit by following these tips (below) and promoting them to the rest of their group. Thanks for your observance.

Pace of Play Tips:

  1. Stay in POSITION - keep up to the group in front of you; then you won't ever have to worry about the group behind you.

  2. Play READY golf - whoever is ready to play, regardless of distance, should hit or putt when safe to do so.

  3. Spend 2 mins MAX looking for your lost ball - keep a close eye on where it went in and drop another quickly if you know it's gone.

  4. Play APPROPRIATE TEES - Blue tees are suited to players who regularly shoot in the mid 80s or lower. Consider moving up to the Whites if you've lost some distance. Remember, shorter shots into the greens typically produce better scores.

  5. Minimize PRE-SHOT ROUTINE - have a pre-shot routine but keep it simple. Limit practice swings, trust your first line when putting, be ready to hit when it's your turn.

  6. Use your POWER CART effectively - drop your partner at his/her ball and drive to yours, or park midway between and walk over.

  7. Have great CONVERSATIONS - but don't start telling the story when it's your turn to hit or putt.

Remember, if you're playing at a 5 hr pace, then so is EVERYONE behind you. Be considerate of that and we'll all wait less and enjoy our round at Deerfield GC even more.

Privacy Policy (Overview)

Deerfield GC obtains personal information from golfers making reservations through the pro shop or through the Deerfield GC online booking site. NOTE: Golfers making reservations through GolfNow should consult the GolfNow privacy policy.

Tournament & Group Bookings

Tournaments at Deerfield GC are limited to 60 players. Confirmation of absolute players attending is required 10 days in advance. Tee sheets will be adjusted accordingly at that time.

Rental clubs are not available.

Weather Siren

Because of the size of the course, we do not have a siren/horn to indicate lightning. Should bad weather occur, all players must make their way to the clubhouse, other buildings, or their motor vehicles. There are small sheds by the 14th hole tee box, and between the 5th tee and the 7th green, as well. Avoid open areas, high ground, and tall trees.

Consult with the Pro Shop in order to resume play after the storm passes.
